Well here's a bulletin on the state of the bulletin board , its now being hosted by beefcake-inc , which should hopefully mean more stability atleast physically if not mentally.
And two of its regular posters, Loki & Spychimp have been busy with web-deposits of their own. Loki has come up with this site, devoted to Alien Crayon spin-off band, Venkman. Well for a while now, the all new bulletin board has been the discussion place for stupid links & drunken weekend antics. However, the more observant will notice that its bugged to shit and full of gremlins. These gremlins i have now tracked down, and believe they go under the name "f2s server 44". Currently this little beauty has gone down like beefcake in a botty-bar, and there is no bulletin board at all at the moment. What i suggest is starting up a fund called "buy eds a web-domain of his own" then none of this should happen. Contributions to me, please.

PA film news - by some horrific oversight, the latest pa epic "Pure Garage" hasn't made the finals of the Urban Chillers 60 second chiller competition. You can view the finalists and vote for them here and i'll put Pure Garage up on this site soon and you can view for yourselves. The Brum TV & Film Festival starts this friday so i've been pretty busy with that -as well as starting on the Baxxter vid and creating this bulletin board thing. Here we are again, hardly seems like any time has passed since i was last writing TOMDW.....
We'll start maybe with Thursday this time, as the weekend started somewhat early (not that it makes any chuffing difference when you're unemployed what day it is.) For those of you who don't know, i am currenly involved helping out these guys - the birmingham tv & film festival . Then , continuing my work as a "freelance music video director" (a i tried to convince my ex-colleagues at lloyds i now was.), it was onto the Jug to film baxxter again, where they were supporting theory of everything who wer also pretty good. Then it was on to mixing with the talented & beautiful people that birmingham has to offer at the boozy schmooze . (Note: for "talented & beautiful" please read as "pissed-up".) . Then i believe a few of us went to Marie's flat for brandy, where me & Greg had vague camden-flashbacks, though this time it was Greg who quite possibly had to remove his trousers. Friday was a gathering at the House-of Ed$, where we were blessed with an appearance by Landspeed (they're playing the flapper this friday, everyone should go see them.), amongst many others. Then onto Saturday....this started well, with Sue coming round to cook me a nice pasta meal for my lunch, and we had a few drinks.....I continued drinking until me & nick went to town at about 10, where we drunk some more, and went to the Academy. What the hell happened after that I have no idea- i am trying to gain memories with a plea for help on my bulletin board, so anybody who can help, please do. Undoubted star of the weekend however, is Nerys, who let me crash not once, but twice at her house when i was lost and drunk. More booze for that girl. Thursday, November 08, 2001

Oh we steadily march onwards with this new technology....now you too can watch internet video crappier than the crappiest wind-up tv. Yes, you can watch the Dumbsaint video for "Jesus Stone" with Real Player here , and it may be blocky and jerky but atleast you don't have to wait fourteen hours to download it, 'cos i know how precious all your time is.

Thought i'd put some links on for you guys today, especially for Spychimp who is new to the world of the internet and needs to find his furry little feet. And once again most are nicked off cook'd and bomb'd but who really cares? warp records which is pretty nice site any way (home of the aphex twin and such like if you didn't know), anyway, the main attraction here is a new Chris Morris piece - download "Bushwacked" from the menu on the left and hear Bush speak the truth.

No news for a while eh guys. Well, no news is good news as some people like to say. The parents of kidnap victims usually.
Anyway - first up is TOMDW, only reported now as the facts are just beginning to become clear....Me & Rob went to the Academy for another Saturday Night Absolutely Wankered at the Academy. Woke up on Sunday believing a quiet and uneventful night was had by just the two of us. It was sometime in the afternoon that a brain-quake hit me, and the parts of the night erased by the mind rubber began to hurt me like sodomized electricity. For all of you who were there, I apologise to you all , but there can be no apologies made for the behaviour of Rob, or as he became that night, "the Whorton". I'd advise tetanus shots for all those he bit. And apologies to my ex-colleagues at Lloyds TSB for his 4am rant down the phone. Its still all a bit hazy to be honest.... Other news...Villa are top of the table. Enjoy it while it lasts.... Monday - filmed a 60 second "horror movie", pure garage for a competition for urbanchillers.com halloween competition, but as yet have heard nothing back. If it doesn't get shown or doesn't win (and how can it fail!) then i may try and put it up on this site for download. Tuesday - went to see the mighty DumbAss . They have an album out you know (worth getting just for the rather excellent CD-Rom video by yours truly) Wednesday- to the flapper this time, and filmed baxxter for their forthcoming video "the Girls Are Looking Good This Summer." Oh, this rock 'n' roll lifestle I lead..... |
