Hey dudes and dudettes. Not been blogging too much recently - largely to do with avoiding too much time in my flat since "the great flood" . In the meantime I've been out getting drunk in various places - most notably at the work awards hosted by Natasha Kaplinski of BBC Breakfast News of all people.

Anyway, what most of you lurkers want to see are the pictures from Ruby's house-cooling Puppet Party. Well they are - HERE

And also on a vaguely creative note, you can see what happens when you stay up drinking and watching Big Brother for too long - in the Big Brother Gallery

Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban

The third boy-wizard outing hits the screens like the Worst Witch with alarmingly rising teenage testosterone. Its probably my favourite of the books, and in the hands of a new director, Alfonso Cauron, its as solidly made as the other two adaptations, but with much more of a sense of visual style. If you’re not into the whole Potter thing then the whole thing will probably leave you baffled, and yeah, its for kids, but its not bad at all.

The Cooler

The legend that is William H Macy has never been one to play “winners” in films, and here he’s excellently cast as a man who’s such a loser that he’s employed by a Las Vegas casino to bring bad luck to others. However, his luck changes when he falls in love, and that’s when his problems really begin.. Apart from Willam H’s character, most of the characters and situations are stock characters – tough mobsters and damaged cocktail waitresses, buts its slick and classy with good performances from all concerned, and yes, that includes the Baldwin in it. Well worth seeing, and a nice break from all the CGI monster action of this summer so far. And Macy gets to have some sex in it too -
fantastic.
